Community Activities
Community in the Forest! Let's get Social!
The Newington Forest Social Committee is open to residents who are interested in creating and participating in engaging residents for Forest FUN.
Each year, as volunteers are available, activities are planned by the Social Committee. If you are interested in volunteering on this committee or have a new activity you'd like to suggest and help incorporate, email [email protected]!
Most of the events are sponsored in some way by resident and business donations and participation. If you'd like more information about how to donate or participate, check out the Community Activity Sponsorship page (or forward the info to a business or resident who you think would benefit by connecting)!
Activities are posted to the Community Calendar and included in Newsletters and Broadcast Emails.
2026 Community Activities:
- Egg Hunt at the Community Field on Southrun Rd - April 4th
- Pool Opening Popsicles - May 25th
- Food Truck Thursdays (at the pool 6-8 p.m., see the Community Calendar for the schedule)
- Scavenger Hunt on the Trail - June 20th
- Ice Cream Social at the Pool - July 24th
- National Night Out at the Community Center - August 4th
- Glow Pool Party - August 21st
- Fall Fest at the Community Field on Southrun Rd - September 19th
- Santa's Workshop at the Community Center - December 12th
