The Newington Forest Community is comprised of nine volunteer residents who meet on the third Tuesday of each month.  To contact the Board of Directors, email [email protected] .

The members of the Board of Directors are elected each year in February at the Newington Forest Annual Meeting. Immediately following the Annual Meeting, a second Board meeting is scheduled and newly elected members determine who will serve in which role on the Board.

2026/27 Board of Directors and their Responsibilities

PRESIDENT: Tina Ward

• Preside over board and membership meetings
• Liaison between management and the board
• Liaison between the association's attorney and the board
• Co-sign checks with the treasurer or secretary

VICE PRESIDENT: Cody Kissinger

• Perform the duties of the president in the president's absence
• May be called upon by the president to shares some of the president's duties

SECRETARY: Kenneth Frye

• Oversee notice of board and membership meetings
• Ensure that minutes of meetings are taken and approved
• Sign a copy of the final, approved minutes
• File documents with the secretary of state
• Co-sign checks with the president or treasurer
• The secretary can delegate many of these duties to the manager, management company, or an assistant, but must oversee the work

TREASURER: Robert Cooper

• Oversee the association's operating account and reserve account
• Preserve and maintain the association's financial documents
• Oversee the deposits
• Oversee investments
• Ensure that bills are paid
• Oversee the preparation of the budget
• Ensure that a report of financial transactions are made to the board
• Ensure that a reserve study is prepared
• Serve as the board's liaison with the association's auditor
• Ensure that tax returns are filed on time
• Sign bank cards and co-sign checks with the president or secretary
• The treasurer can delegate many of his/her duties to the manager management company, or an assistant, but must oversee the work
