Newington Forest is comprised of 1808 homes (791 single-family homes and 1017 townhomes) with an on-site Association office. The Newington Forest Community Association is located in southern Fairfax County and conveniently accessible via the Fairfax County Parkway and Interstate 95. The community is mostly surrounded by parkland and has over 2 miles of common area trails that connect to the Southrun Stream Valley trail system.

Residents of the Newington Forest Community Association have access to amenities that include a private swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, playgrounds, a full-size ballfield, and a trail system that connects to the Southrun Stream Valley trail.

The Community Center is also available for rental by residents in good standing.
